Throughout the year, we offer performances for schools in selected venues across Australia, with post-performance 'In Conversation' sessions wherever possible. This experience allows students to deepen their connection with the company, as well as our First Nations histories and cultures, while learning about the artistic processes involved in the creation of a Bangarra production.

WILAY PROGRAM

Wilay is the Wiradjuri word for Brushtail Possum. We are grateful for Wiradjuri elder, Uncle Stan Grant Senior, for permission to use this word for the program.

Our Wilay program enables Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school students to access a dedicated matinee performance, at a discounted price. The performance is followed by an 'In Conversation' with some of the dancers and creatives. Wilay allows us to build a relationship with the next generation of those who share the rich culture and history that is sewn through our storytelling; it's important to pass these stories down.

Wilay performances and tickets are for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students aged 12 and over.
