We’re an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation and one of Australia’s leading performing arts companies, performing award winning contemporary dance shows across Australia, as well as touring internationally and into regional Australia. Our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders communities are the heart of Bangarra.
Complementing this touring roster are education programs, workshops and special performances and projects, planting the seeds for the next generation of performers and storytellers.
Where are you performing this year?
Please see our Performances page for a full list of our touring locations.
Can I audition for Bangarra?
We do not currently hold open auditions to join the company. It is a requirement that you are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to join, and formal dance training is well regarded – visit the NAISDA Dance College and ACPA websites for more information on their dance courses.
Bangarra has temporarily moved from Walsh Bay to make way for the major redevelopment of the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. We look forward to recommencing venue hire options on The Wharf when we return, and will update the website with further information as it becomes available.
