Amberlilly Gordon is a proud Wiradjuri and Ngemba woman from New South Wales.

Amber started her journey in dance in Dubbo at age 14, when she was a participant in one of the first of Bangarra’s Rekindling programs. In 2022, she joined the Youth Program team as the Russell Page Youth Programs trainee, taking Rekindling to regional and remote areas and will have the chance to give young First Nations people the same opportunity that she had.

Amber studied at NAISDA Dance College before completing a Diploma of Dance at Ev & Bow Training Centre in Sydney. Throughout high school, Amber was a part of the NSW Aboriginal Dance Ensemble where she performed in State Dance Festival and events across the state. Amber has also performed in a music video for contemporary music artist Urth Boy. Amber recently worked for a government housing organisation helping homeless people to find long-term accommodation.

Amber joins the company as Bangarra’s 2023 Russell Page Professional Development Scholarship recipient.
