Congratulations to the eight new organisations who have been announced as joining the National Performing Arts Partnership Framework.
Bangarra is excited that we now share this national platform with a wider diversity of First Nations voices. This will serve to enhance and lead the identity spirit of our cultural landscape. We welcome what it means for artists, for audiences and for our Communities, in helping to shift mainstream perspectives and create positive lasting change.
The NPAP Framework, a collaboration with states and territories administered through the Australia Council, replaced the previous Australian Major Performing Arts Framework in late 2019, which supported the nation’s major orchestras, opera companies, ballet and theatre companies. It provides ongoing and matched funding from the Australia Council for the Arts and the relevant state or territory funding body for the organisations in question.
