Artistic Director Stephen Page has been awarded the 2022 Wendy Blacklock Industry Legend Award at PAC Australia's Impact Awards.
Performing Arts Connections (PAC) Australia makes real connections between the performing arts and audiences, and between Australian communities and their stories. The PAC Australia Impact Awards celebrate excellence in performing arts leadership, new thinking and best practice, with a focus on lasting impact in communities. The Wendy Blacklock Industry Legend Award honours the illustrious career and the services of Wendy Blacklock AM, who was a pioneer of national touring and founder of Performing Lines.
The PAC Australia board has long observed and admired the major role the inaugural Industry Legend recipient has played as an artist and a cultural leader, establishing and nurturing contemporary Indigenous dance into a place of prominence in communities across Australia.
