Open Day at Walsh Bay Arts Precinct is on Saturday 8 October!
We are pleased to join the resident arts companies at Walsh Bay in the first precinct-wide Open Day on Saturday 8 October from 10am - 4pm. Explore the precinct with a series of one-off experiences, workshops and performances hosted by the performing arts companies who call this area home.
Join us in the foyer of the Studio Theatre at Bangarra, as we dive into Waru - journey of the small turtle, our first dedicated work for children. We invite our young visitors (ages 3 to 7) to create their own turtle artwork and learn about the rich culture of the Torres Strait Islands. Activities for older children will also be available.
During Open Day, our function space, Dangarra O Badu (Wiradjuri for 'Dancing on Water'), will host an exhibition of our award-winning costumes. Each design has been inspired by the unique story behind the production, often influenced by the human experience and reflecting the textures and colours of Country.
