In light of the Victorian Government's announcement on 16th August, of an extension to the current Melbourne lockdown, Bangarra regretfully advises that performances of SandSong: Stories from the Great Sandy Desert at Arts Centre Melbourne from 27 August - 4 September, have been cancelled.

We are disappointed that we are unable to share this deeply powerful story of land, people and resilience with Melbourne audiences, however, everyone's health and well-being is our highest priority.

We’re thrilled that our Sandsong: Stories from the Great Sandy Desert season can proceed at 50% capacity at QPAC, following the lifted lockdown in Brisbane.

After taking the risk on quarantining for 14 days, the Company is so excited and fortunate to be able to continue with the Brisbane season of its National Tour of SandSong, to connect and tell a deeply powerful story of land, people and resilience.

Despite being able to perform for audiences once again, some patrons will be impacted by the new restrictions. Affected ticket holders will be contacted directly by QPAC. If you have already requested a refund, please be assured this is being processed by QTIX.

The health and wellbeing of our staff and community continues to be our highest priority. We will monitor and respond to public health orders and will keep you updated.
