As many of you would know, last year we had to cancel our National Tour of SandSong: Stories from the Great Sandy Desert. Unfortunately, we find ourselves facing an all too familiar situation again this year. Although this time, we completed just one week of performances at the Sydney Opera House to thrilling reviews and ecstatic audiences before needing to shut down.
At this point SandSong will not be able to complete its season in Sydney, and its National Tour to Canberra, Bendigo, Brisbane, and Melbourne could be challenging due to border restrictions. We are crushed that we cannot connect and share this powerful production with our audiences as intended. On a financial note, our National Tour represents 89% of our annual performance revenue.
Your support last year helped us. Please donate to help us move through this period and realise our plans for the year ahead, which Stephen passionately talks about in the video above.
We remain hopeful that we can return to the stage soon and continue developing our exciting and ambitious plans, on and off the stage.
With only two days left until the end of the financial year, if you’re in a position to do so, please support us by making a tax-deductible donation.
Help keep Bangarra moving – together.
