BANGARRA DANCE THEATRE - SHARING THE "SPIRIT"
THROUGHOUT REGIONAL AUSTRALIA IN 2004.

Bangarra Dance Theatre is set to bring its stunning show Spirit to regional venues in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. Audiences will be able to experience the magic of Australia's leading Indigenous contemporary dance company in May and from July to September.
Spirit draws together the best of Bangarra Dance Theatre's internationally acclaimed repertoire. Inspired by the beauty and spirituality of Australia's rich Indigenous culture, Spirit weaves storytelling, dance, theatre and music into an unforgettable theatrical experience. Spirit features highlights from Bangarra's sell-out 2003 production Bush, as well as treasured moments from Bangarra's vast repertoire.
Bangarra Dance Theatre is one of Australia's oldest and youngest dance companies. Its living traditions go back at least 40,000 years encompassing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture but it also reflects the lives and attitudes of Indigenous people today, and in doing so speaks to all Australians. Bangarra's stunning originality has mesmerised audiences from New York and Beijing to Alice Springs.
